ASNR was itself created from the merging on 1 January 2025 of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) and the Institute for Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN). The Commission and the departments speak on behalf of ASN concerning the year 2024, and on behalf of ASNR when it comes to more general considerations or projections. APPENDIX p. 392 Overview of Basic Nuclear Installations as at 31 December 2024 Oversight of small-scale nuclear activities (medical, research and industry, transport) is presented in chapters 7, 8, 9.
